What We Do
Mexico
Since 2006 Love Walks has been serving in Puerto Penasco, Mexico on a monthly basis. Each month we bring Young Adult volunteers from Phoenix down to Mexico. We strive to challenge the Young Adults in the areas of “how” and “why” they serve. We do this through intentional time in prayer, study, service and worship.
The projects themselves focus on representing the Gospel both through a tangible response to physical poverty, and through relationship building that provides a platform for us to respond to the spiritual poverty. This is done through sharing the good news of Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection.

Training and Equipping Program
Our Training and Equipping program is an intensive period of discipling Young Adults with a heart for missions. The process starts with our selecting of 12-15 young adults per term. These Young Adults will go through six months of trainings, service opportunities, and community building activities. Each months topic will be led by a local nonprofit professional, professor, or pastor and will be hosted by Phoenix Seminary.
Along with helping the participants identify thier strengths, gifts, and how God has created them to work within his Kingdom, we will cover a multitude of topics which include: biblical training, the role of the Spirit, development work, serving domestically, and serving counter culturally.
At the end of the six month term the Young Adult participants will complete an internship either domestically or abroad in which they will be assigned to one of our multiple partner ministries. This will provide them an opportunity to connect with a ministry who’s mission is similar to their own, and where they can immediately implement the training they received through hands on experience.
Local Service Opportunities
It is our desire to facilitate regular service opportunities in Phoenix, as well as Mexico. While we have worked with local ministries in the past we are currently evaluating current organizations that we can work with here in Phoenix. Our goal is to have a plethora of partner ministries with varying missions, thus allowing us to do a better job of connecting our Young Adult volunteers to service opportunities relevant to their talents and passions.
